ENGULFED
Ten years ago my head was scanned with MRI as part of dyslexia research. From those images I made various works, including My Soul, a laser etched image of my brain.
I am a volunteer as a control subject at Imperial College London, working with David Dexter, Professor of Neuropharmacology and Scientific Director of Parkinson’s UK Brain Bank. I had an updated MRI scan of my head 10 years later.
In 2013 I used these scans to create exact 3D-printed models of my brain, which were then rendered in glass.
